OVERVIEW

Fertility is an incredible gift not all people have. There are thousands of individuals and couples whose only chance of having a baby is through egg donation.

Fortunately, there are loving women who are willing to assist those who cannot achieve pregnancy otherwise. Choosing to donate your eggs to someone who needs them is a selfless act that gives hope to those unable to conceive naturally.

Egg donation is a gift of tremendous magnitude, creating a life that could not have otherwise been created, for those who are unable to conceive.

Egg donation is an incredibly generous act and one that we are always extremely honored to be a part of at IBP Consultants.

What is egg donation?

Egg Donation is a fertility treatment where a young, fertile woman (donor) gives some of her eggs to another woman (recipient), who is otherwise unable to get pregnant.

Egg donation is used for women who wish to have a child but cannot get pregnant with her own eggs. This may be because she was born without ovaries, is in menopause, did not respond adequately to hormonal stimulation of her ovaries in the past, has had poor egg or embryo quality with previous IVF attempts, or a variety of other factors. Women may also choose to use a donor if they have a genetic disease that they do not want to pass on to their children.

Egg donation is also a way for gay men to build a family. The donated eggs are fertilized with sperm and grown through the blastocyst stage to become an embryo. The embryo, either fresh or frozen, is then implanted into the recipient’s uterus to achieve pregnancy.

Donating your eggs is priceless. Egg donation is an altruistic act that allows donors to participate in the rewarding miracle of creating life. We greatly appreciate the time and dedication donors invest in their donation cycles, and we believe they should be rewarded for that commitment.
